In Salt Lake -- Dr. Swinyer obtained his medical degree at the University of Vermont and completed his dermatology residency program at the University of Oregon. Prior to his dermatology residency program, Dr. Swinyer completed an internal medicine and pathology internship program and practiced medicine in the U.S. Navy. He is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology. He and his wife, Thalia, are Vermont natives. Thalia, an R.N., conducts clinical dermatology research at the practice.
